I just learned to surf. I am pretty good at it. I could have done it without this guide I just bought. I really suggest you take a look at it: Click Here.

@MsAmber626 They are attached directly to the kite with a harness around the waist. You can see very clear in the first video clip. Some surfers ride ‘un-hooked’ to better do tricks and spins, then they only attached to the kite via a small line to prevent the kite from flying away.
March 2, 2011 at 4:09 amthis may seem like a silly question, but i know nothing about the sport… Why can’t they just let go of the kite before they get pulled?
March 2, 2011 at 6:08 amwhy can’t they just release the kite before they get dragged into the air?
March 2, 2011 at 10:06 ami have a flexifoil blade 4, 4.9m, i have learned how to jump good on it, jus wondering if water is bad for it? i know u cant pack it up wet, but can i surf with it? or do i need a diff kite? plz get back to me on this 1, many thanks and much respect to whoever can help me out.
March 2, 2011 at 11:13 amThe more stupid they are, the fewer the protection precautions, … ,
Kitesurfers migth also ruin it for the other kiting disciplines, .., In belgium they are setting up restrictive legislations because some dudes got themselves killed in 2010. ( possible max 23 knot wind limit, and limits on the locations)
untill end of 2010 there were no restrictions, … , I hope it does not fly over to Kitebuggy or MTB

Most of these accidents happened because of stupid thinking; like using a way to large kite in such strong winds. Try not to push limits while kiting, just enjoy the sport as it is or it might just end up bad!
March 2, 2011 at 2:13 pmIt seems like these riders were practicing in some extreme conditions! of course, stuff like this is bound to happen, if you know your basics and safe practices well you’ll have a great time for sure!.
